BEDLARS GREEN, GREAT HALLINGBURY.

CRAEFT Architects were commissioned by a self-builder client to design a three storey, 650 sqm family home in the small village of Bedlars Green in Great Hallingbury. To take advantage of the site's rural location particular attention was given to the sequence of space and views from windows to the garden and the landscape beyond.

The building will be constructed using high quality traditional materials with hand cut clay tiles, lead lined dormers, painted timber windows and a multi stock brick. Brick details are expressed at the inset front entrance, corbelled eaves, bay window and external landscape.

Uttelsford District Council granted planning permission for the project in March 2014. The house is under construction and is due to be completed later this year.
